Spring Show
SDSG had their Spring Show at Grange Farm Bishopton. This livery yard offers fantastic facilities to host safe and encouraging shows for the grass roots competitor.
As usual the show was friendly and encouraging and attracted competitors from as far a field as Wakefield and Cumbria.
Despite the forecast the weather stayed dry and the day was very enjoyable for everybody. Local businesses were very generous in providing sponsorship to enable prizemoney for the unaffiliated children’s classes to be given.
The champion was awarded to Gilly Chippendale and the fabulous Tigermoth (from Appleby) for the 2nd year running and to a local rider Miss Paula Robinson and her new horse Royal Doulton.
The standard was high throughout the day in most of the classes and SDSG would like to congratulate all competitors, sponsors, helpers and of course the winners of the Spring show 2011.

Easter Showing Show
The weather was kind to us. No rain and brilliant sunshine so we held the show in the outdoor arean. The day went well, nice relaxed and calm atmosphere. A lot of young horses attended the show which worked well for them. Also with this being the first show for most horses this season the relaxed atmosphere worked well for them too.
The turnout was good and prizes were all with the Easter theme and the Easter fancy dress ended the day well.
Well done to all our competitors. We would like to thank Ken Foster for judging the show and entering into the Easter fun.
